WOW! Look at this beautiful image, completely inspired me to look into the two toned lipstick beauty trend…

The reason I have blogged this picture today is because I had a wonderful email from Lan Nguyen herself who created this beautiful image to announce I will have the chance to go backstage with her at London Fashion Week. I will be discovering all the beauty trends Lan creates for A/W 13 , whilst interviewing her inspirations, products she uses and of course learn some amazing make-up artistry skills herself which I can pass on to you wonderful make-up lovers. If you get chance take a look at Lan’s beautiful portfolio, which truly inspires me as an artist:

Two Toned Lips? Will it be a trend you rock?

By now I’m sure you’ve all been aware of the two toned lipstick trend that’s been gracing the catwalks, Two Toned Lips created by MAC makeup artist Tom Pecheux for the Emanuel Ungaro show which reminds me of Lan’s image. Glamour magazine reported that Tom admitted that the style was 80’s inspired and the way to make it more in line with today is to team the lips with a bare looking face…

Personally I loved the look on the models, and in Lan’s image here but there’s no way I’d ever consider trying it out on myself walking around London, but most certainly use it for a photo-shoot in the future, For me it’s just too much of a bold statement.

So what are your thought on the two toned lips look? Would you consider wearing this look out in public? just a party look? or should it just be left on the catwalks and for photoshoots?

Loving My Red Lips For The Party Season! My Top Tip Today When Working With Red Lipstick…

Blending is in…

Few makeup artists stick to one shade of any lipstick, they tend to blend a few to create the perfect colours. If you’ve bought a red lipstick shade that’s too bright, dark or whatever, don’t throw it away. Instead, experiment with other lipstick shades you have on hand to create the perfect shade of red.

Brighten up your look with Expert Wear Eyeshadow in Vanilla.  For an eye opening effect, add a touch to the inner corners of your eyes. To make eyes appear brighter and more awake, blend a small amount into the center of each eyelid.
